Things to know before choosing a
CHARTER BUS RENTAL COMPANY

No one wants to jump blindly into a new experience. If you haven’t rented a charter bus before, the process can seem daunting. Whether you’re planning cross-country travel for a family reunion, or you’re coordinating shuttle services for your corporate event, this guide will help point you in the right direction.

Of course, our reservation specialists are only a call or click away. Otherwise, read further for charter bus rental tips and tricks.

What is your travel destination?

You’ll certainly have an idea of your end destination, but consider where you’d like to depart as well. Barons Bus is based in Ohio, so our bus charter pickups for departure are typically in or near Columbus or Cleveland. However, our fleet of charter buses travel to destinations across the United States. Your charter bus pricing and planning is largely dependent where your pickup point will be and where your destination is located.

What time of the year will you need bus transportation?

In addition to knowing your group’s destination, it’s beneficial to know when you’ll be travelling there. For instance, a trip to Chicago may take longer (due to road conditions) in the winter than in the summer. Our luxury motor coaches are regularly maintained and always prepared for the seasons, but be aware that unexpected weather conditions can affect your travel plans.

Factors beyond weather can affect your travels as well. For example, when you travel to Columbus, you may want to plan your trip to coincide with the Blooms & Butterflies exhibition at Franklin Park between March and July. Conversely, you may want to avoid crowds by visiting attractions in the off season.

What is the expected size of your charter bus group?

Our fleet consists of 56-passenger luxury motor coach bus vehicles. We use these for both our charter services and our regular stop bus services. Groups larger than 56-passengers will require an additional vehicle, and smaller than 56 will have more room to stretch out! Knowing the size of your party will help tremendously in estimating your charter bus costs.

What is your estimated budget?

If you’re planning for a school bus field trip or a corporate event, your school or company will likely provide you with a budget at the outset. Charter bus companies can help you plan your trip much more efficiently if they have a ballpark budget to work with.

If you’re chartering a bus for leisure, having an estimated budget can help you plan for additional services, like tour bus and airport shuttle services at your destination.

Select a Charter Bus Service that fits your needs.
